Durham to launch programs to address industry skills gaps

Durham College has announced four new diploma and certificate programs that will be launched for Fall 2023 to address major industry skills gaps. The Faculty of Science, Engineering & Information Technology will launch a new Cloud Computing graduate certificate and a revised Internet of Things (IoT) graduate certificate. Students in the Cloud Computing program will learn about topics such as cloud computing privacy and legal principles, while those in the relaunched IoT program will study topics related to security and surveillance cameras. A Fire Prevention and Technology advanced diploma program will teach students about fire code and fire protection equipment, while a new diploma in Recreation Therapy will teach students how to assist with the delivery of recreation programs.
