How to implement a project management system to keep academic projects organized: Opinion

In a recent article for Inside Higher Ed, Shiri Noy (Denison University) encourages researchers to use the start of the academic year as an opportunity to implement a project management system. Noy explains that a project management system makes it possible to keep research projects moving forward, find files and plans easily, and keep track of project decisions. “The form matters less than the function,” the author explains. “Your system should be accurate, legible to you (and future collaborators), and tailored to your goals.” Noy concludes by outlining the steps that a researcher can take to create their own project management system and set themselves up for success for the academic year.
