Humber to offer ACT! Program

Humber College has announced that it will be offering Autism CanTech! (ACT!), a workforce-ready program designed by NorQuest College, later this year. The six-month program enables young adults with autism to develop data processing skills that are relevant to various businesses in the data economy and includes a two-month paid work placement with an employer trained in inclusivity practices. “We are proud to collaborate with post-secondary partners across the country to help provide training and opportunity for youth with autism looking to establish a digital career,” said Humber President Chris Whitaker. “This program will also help provide businesses with increased access to potential employees who might otherwise have been underrepresented in their workforces.” Toronto.com| Humber Note: Archived stories may contain dead links or be missing source links.
