Humber College has received a $5M gift from the Longo Family Foundation that will be used to support entrepreneur training. In honour of the donation, Humber’s Faculty of Business and Centre for Entrepreneurship have been renamed the Longo Faculty of Business and Longo Centre for Entrepreneurship, respectively. The donation will provide entrepreneurs with seed funding and scholarships, as well as supporting mentorship, networking, skills development, and initiatives such as the Longo Family Be Your Own Boss Workshops and the Longo Family Advisory: Student Business Consulting business. “[S]upporting the creation and success of small to medium-sized businesses plays an important role in helping Canada’s economy thrive,” said Humber President Chris Whitaker.
