As provincial COVID-19 policies and mandates change, postsecondary institutions have announced their plans to drop or keep mandates in turn. Holland College, the University of Prince Edward Island, St Thomas University, and Algonquin College have announced that they will continue to use a vaccination passport until the end of the semester. CBC reports that the University of New Brunswick has removed proof of vaccination requirements for most locations on campus, but will require rapid testing for those who are not fully vaccinated. In Manitoba, most institutions will maintain vaccine passports until the end of the winter semester, reports the Winnipeg Free Press. Red River College Polytechnic and the University of Manitoba will keep strict mask policies in place. The Record reports that the University of Waterloo’s vaccine mandate has led to discipline and the terminations of several professors.
