LUFA, LUSU, OCUFA call for transparency, accountability on Laurentian mismanagement

Three unions have called on Laurentian University and the Government of Ontario to be held accountable and to provide transparency on the challenges that Laurentian has faced, reports National Post. The Laurentian University Faculty Association (LUFA), the Laurentian University Staff Union (LUSU), and the Ontario Confederation of University Faculty Associations (OCUFA) issued a statement repeating their call for senior leaders such as President Robert Haché, Vice-President Academic and Provost Marie-Josée Berger, and Registrar Serge Demers to be terminated as Laurentian is rebuilt. “Our entire membership has lost confidence in these individuals,” said LUFA President Fabrice Colin. LUFA, LUSU, and OCUFA are also calling for ON to provide transparency on why it did not intervene sooner.
