MacEwan University’s campus is now home to a food hall created by Filistix, reports Taproot. The new food hall – Takam Market – features a variety of vendors and chef-driven concepts. The food hall also has a pantry that will be supplied by The Public, offering students heat-and-eat style meals so that they can have a quick, prepared meal after the concessions close in the afternoon. “Our whole idea is to be a player in this neighbourhood, to be part of the broader community and not just the MacEwan community,” said co-owner of Filistix Ariel del Rosario. MacEwan has also announced that its Students’ Association of MacEwan University (SAMU) building has achieved LEED Gold certification, which recognizes its building design and construction.
