MB launches $1.5M Conservation and Climate Fund

The Government of Manitoba has launched a $1.5M Conservation and Climate Fund that will support the work of academic and educational institutions as well as other organizations. The fund will focus on projects that align with one of MB’s current priorities: clean technology, water, and nature and resilient landscapes. “This fund will generate new green projects for a cleaner environment, climate adaptation and low-carbon economic growth, supporting emission reductions under our carbon savings account as well as economic recovery,” said Environment, Climate and Parks Minister Jeff Wharton. “By increasing the size of the fund, our government will be able to support even more green projects and initiatives.” MB Note: Archived stories may contain dead links or be missing source links.
