The Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology has celebrated the opening of its expanded welding shop. The expansion, which was supported by a $4.5M investment from the Government of Manitoba, includes new welding stations; an innovation skills lab; and a hub focused on advanced projects, prototyping, and troubleshooting for industry. “Welding is one of the most in-demand trades in Manitoba and this project will play a pivotal role in training welders in the province with hand-on skill development,” said MB Advanced Education, Skills, and Immigration Minister Jon Reyes.
