NBCC officially opens Centre of Excellence in Community and Protective Services

New Brunswick Community College has officially opened its Centre of Excellence in Community and Protective Services at the Miramichi Campus. The centre is home to simulator labs in areas such as driving, use-of-force, and community and family dynamics. The simulators will provide additional research and training opportunities to students in programs such as Pre-Employment Firefighter, Early Childhood Education, and Social Services Community Worker. “Applied learning opportunities and community partnerships are at the heart of the NBCC experience,” said NBCC VP Academic and Research Ann Drennan. “The Centre … brings those two elements together in a way that not only enriches the training opportunities for our students, but also for the people who are already in the community, working in these fields, with the end goal of enhanced community and protective services for everyone.” NBCC Note: Archived stories may contain dead links or be missing source links.
