Northern Lights College has announced that it will be offering its Wind Turbine Maintenance Technician program again after the program was inactive for several years. Students in the program will study electrical and millwright trades, and will complete an eight-week practicum during which they will gain tower safety certifications. “It’s a really great segue for us into greener technologies,” said Dean of Trades and Apprenticeships Leo Manning. “It’s going to evolve so we’re going to have green technologies in the trades department and wind turbine is the launching pad.” NLC Note: Archived stories may contain dead links or be missing source links.
