Northern Lights College has announced that it will be offering a new Access to Practical Nursing program (APN). The program will provide health care assistant program graduates with an accelerated avenue to a career as a licensed practical nurse. The program is fully recognized by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives and will prepare students to take the Licensed Practical Nurse regulatory exam. “It’s exciting to have an accelerated program that recognizes prior learning and contributes to improving the much-needed healthcare services in the area of our province,” said NLC Chair of the Faculty of Health Sciences Tracy Vipond.
