Sault College, Cambrian College, Collège Boréal, Northern College, and Confederation College are partnering with the Northern Ontario Service Deliverers Association to offer a free Pre-Early Childhood Education certificate program. The 10-week program is offered online and includes a job placement. Learners will develop the basic skills to start working in early years and childcare settings. The program is meant to tackle staff shortages in the early years and childcare sectors across Northern Ontario. The certificate program is an Employment Ontario project funded in part by the Government of Canada and Ontario. “This program will provide basic knowledge and skills to support future employment opportunities within this critical field,” said Sault Continuing Education and E-Learning Director Lori Crosson.
