Université du Québec à Chicoutimi has announced the creation of a regional research observatory that will focus on the boreal forest and the forest ecosystems in Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean. The incubateur MT Lab at Université du Québec à Montréal has also received a $500K grant over two years to help build bridges between start-ups and the tourism industry and make Quebec a more attractive and competitive player on the international tourism market.
