Selkirk College has announced that it is launching a new Drone Technologies micro-credential program. The program is delivered via a blend of online and in-person training, and gives students the opportunity to build the skills and knowledge they need to use drones in a variety of different sectors. “The in-person element of the program will ensure we actively promote drone pilots who are champions for professionalism and safety,” said Selkirk Innovates faculty researcher David Greaves. “This hands-on approach will instill greater confidence and provide more opportunities for defining clear pathways to employment via our ever-growing research programs driven by industry specific needs.” The program takes nine months to complete. Tuition for the first intake is covered by the Government of British Columbia’s Ministry of Advanced Education & Skills Training.
