Spike in e-book use “temporary,” print remains most popular format for faculty: US Survey

A recent article in the Chronicle of Higher Ed discusses the findings of a survey conducted with US faculty on the use of digital course materials. The study found that, in Fall 2021, around two-thirds of faculty surveyed were using print materials. While this was a decline from 2020 (77%), print remained the most popular format for faculty. There was a spike in e-book use in 2020, but the survey suggests that this was a temporary trend while courses were delivered online. Chronicle of Higher Ed (Acct. Req.)
