UBC, SFU, UVic, VIU receive $4.3M from BC for high-tech innovation

The University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University, the University of Victoria, and Vancouver Island University will be receiving $4.3M in funding from the Government of British Columbia. The funding will support projects and programs focused on high-tech innovation in health, technology, and natural resources. In total, the funds will support 18 projects at the universities, including an early-stage risk assessment of non-communicable diseases at UBritish Columbia, a UVic project to reduce traffic-related air pollution, and the development of virtual reality programs by SFU.
