The University of New Brunswick and the McKenna Institute have announced the launch of the Barrett Chair in Entrepreneurship for Digital Transformation in the university’s faculty of computer science. The chair will drive digital progress and prosperity in New Brunswick by leading the faculty’s entrepreneurship activities, coordinating applied research groups, creating new experiential learning opportunities, and more. “UNB is committed to providing students with transformative, innovative educational opportunities,” said UNB President Dr Paul J Mazerolle. “By fostering the next generation of innovators, this chair will help propel New Brunswick forward.” The chair is funded by a $2.5M commitment from entrepreneurs Edward and William Barrett.
