The University of Ottawa has launched a multidisciplinary engineering program that will train students in artificial intelligence (AI), user experience (UX), and STEM. The Bachelor of Multidisciplinary Design provides students with experiential learning opportunities and collaborative projects that are designed to bridge the gap between theory and practice. Students will complete the program in a flexible format, which will allow them to choose their hands-on learning experiences. The selection process for the program focuses on the applicant’s passions and career aspirations as well as their GPA, which will open the program to a wider group of students, and students can choose learning paths that are developed with industry consultation to address gaps in the job market.
