The University of Prince Edward Island’s Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) has changed its admissions policy for veterinary students for the 2025-26 application cycle. The college has lowered the weight of academic achievement and added a test to evaluate character traits such as compassion, empathy, teamwork, and integrity. Students who score well on both components will be invited to complete an interview and write a personal essay.
