The Université du Québec à Chicoutimi and the Université du Québec à Rimouski have received $4.5M from the Government of Quebec to support the development of an alliance project between the two institutions. The funding will be distributed over three years, and will be used to hire faculty members, expand postsecondary education choices for cégep graduates, and increase the institutions’ continuing education offerings. The funding will also focus on promoting access to university education, meeting training needs for Indigenous communities, and increasing graduation rates.
