The Université du Québec à Montréal and Agence universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) have launched the Observatoire francophone pour le développement inclusif par le genre (OFDIG). The OFDIG is funded through $300K from Global Affairs Canada and is focused on promoting gender equality internationally. It will also aim to increase women’s and girls’ autonomy and agency in higher education and research, education systems, and the economic sector. UQAM will host the OFDIG, which will work closely with the institution’s Institut de recherches et d’études feminists and Service aux collectivités.
