UVic adds Kwench workspace in downtown Victoria

The University of Victoria has added Kwench, a workspace in downtown Victoria that will provide space for academics, industry, and others to access programming and services. Kwench will build on the work of UVic’s start-up incubator, the Coast Capital Innovation Centre, with an additional location for free programming and supports. “By moving into Victoria’s downtown core, UVic can help cultivate a collaborative and dynamic innovation ecosystem in our region,” said UVic VP of Research and Innovation Lisa Kalynchuk. Around half of the participants in the Coast Capital Innovation Centre are from underrepresented groups such as women, visible minorities, and Indigenous peoples.
