UWindsor, STU launch new justice, policing-focused initiatives

The University of Windsor and St Thomas University have launched new justice and policing-focused initiatives. UWindsor’s Odette School of Business and the John Howard Society of Ontario have signed a memorandum of understanding to expand their relationship. The partnership will expand student learning opportunities, enable faculty members to collaborate on research, and help the society with its program offerings. UWindsor and the society will focus on improving opportunities that support justice-involved persons in reintegrating into society. STU has launched a new criminology course called Defunding the Police: Rhetoric vs. Reality. The course focuses on facilitating conversations on the language used in discussions of police brutality and budgets.
