VIU launches initiative to help adult learners complete professional program pre-requisites

Vancouver Island University has launched a new tuition-free initiative called “Pathways” to help future learners complete pre-requisites to enter postsecondary. The program is geared towards adult learners who are interested in pursuing training in areas such as health care, early childhood education and care, and science and technology. Participants will receive tailored supports, follow a dedicated curriculum, and be placed in “pods” of students according to their chosen career path. The program is funded by the Government of British Columbia Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Training. VIU Note: Archived stories may contain dead links or be missing source links.
