11 QC universities sign Nature Positive Pledge

Universities around the world are signing the Nature Positive Pledge, and 11 Quebec universities have joined the movement. The Nature Positive Universities Alliance is a United Nations Environment Programme led by Oxford University. The alliance’s pledges include four key elements: completing baseline assessments, setting measurable targets, taking bold action to support biodiversity, and transparency on annual reporting. The 11 signatories from Québec are the École de technologie supérieure, HEC Montréal, Institut national de la recherche scientifique, McGill University, Polytechnique Montréal, Université de Montréal, Université de Sherbrooke, Université du Québec à Montréal, Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, Université du Québec en Outaouais, and Université Laval.
