Sheridan College and the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation (MCFN) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen the Indigenous presence at Sheridan and support change. This three-year partnership agreement outlines how Sheridan will support Indigenous learners—including through accessible pathways and enhanced programming. The First Nation also developed a revised land acknowledgment for Sheridan’s community as part of the agreement, which Sheridan used during the Spring 2025 convocation ceremonies. “I respect the work that is happening with Sheridan College, and signing a relationship agreement based on mutual respect and friendship will allow us to have a positive impact and will be mutually beneficial,” said MCFN Ogiima Kwe (Chief) Claire Sault.
