Canadian Institutes of Health Research has released the results of its Project Grant: Spring 2026 competition. CIHR has made a $412M investment into 439 research applications from 431 individual nominated principal investigators. The projects supported by the funds include 18 Indigenous health research projects. These projects are led by researchers from institutions such as Laurentian University, the University of Alberta, the University of Manitoba, the University of British Columbia, the University of Saskatchewan, the University of Toronto, the University of Winnipeg, the University of Victoria, Vancouver Island University, and York University.
