Athabasca University has refreshed its brand to better represent the university’s identity and the student experience. AU has moved from its original tagline as Canada’s Online University to instead describe itself as Canada’s Open University. The new tag line focuses on AU’s work in reducing barriers to higher education and the institution’s commitment to being accessible. Changes to the brand elements include a more open shield logo to represent a window to new understanding and knowledge; a focus on light, bright, and open in the photography; and new font and colours for greater accessibility and impact.
