Cape Breton University has announced that its health and counselling centre has been renamed the Nancy Dingwall Health and Counselling Centre. CBU held a small gathering to celebrate the renaming, unveil new signage, and share the institution’s future plans for CBU’s health and counselling services. The centre will provide support to students and community members in a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive environment that will ensure that individuals from diverse backgrounds are able to access care that is appropriate for them. The centre is named for Nancy Dingwall, who worked with student-athletes and the community at CBU’s physiotherapy clinics prior to her retirement in 2013.
