Cégep de Sorel-Tracy’s Varennes campus will be introducing an AEC in special education in March 2025. The Techniques d’éducation spécialisée program will train students to assist children and adults who have social, emotional, or behavioural challenges. The program includes three internship placements that are designed to align with the needs of the job market. The placements will introduce learners to the varied places they can work, including in rehabilitation centres, hospitals, school service centres. The program will take 20 months to complete.
