College of the Rockies students in the Social Enterprise course now have access to more learning opportunities, thanks to partnerships between the college and Community Futures East Kootenay’s Innovate for Impact Initiative, Impact Toolbox, and ETSI-BC. Through these partnerships, students have access to mentorship, Impact Labs discussions, and paid work-integrated learning opportunities. “This course gives students a rare opportunity to move beyond theory and to build something that matters,” said COTR Dean, Business Stephanie Wells. “They’re gaining experience that reflects what social entrepreneurs face in the real world, developing ideas, testing assumptions, receiving feedback, and learning how to make an impactful pitch.”
