Laurentian files plan of arrangement, announces retirements of Haché, Berger

Laurentian University’s Board of Governors has issued a statement announcing the pending retirement of President Dr Robert Haché and Provost Dr Marie-Josée Berger, to be effective prior to emergence from CCAA. “We deeply appreciate President Haché’s and Provost Berger’s leadership and contributions to Laurentian,” said Jeff Bangs, Chair of the Board of Governors. “Their guidance and resolve have been indispensable during the most challenging period in our history.” Laurentian also filed its Plan of Arrangement with the Superior Court of Justice, reports CBritish Columbia, which is the culmination of the 18-months of CCAA proceedings. Laurentian will be seeking a court order authorizing it to call a meeting of creditors to vote on the plan.
