Lethbridge Polytechnic recently unveiled a new visual identity that recognizes the institution’s transition to a polytechnic. The polytechnic’s new logo reflects the landscape of southern Alberta, and is surrounded by a teepee ring to symbolize inclusivity. It draws on the institution’s green and blue brand colours to represent the land and sky. Leth Polytech says that the transition between blue and green represents changes in society, the economy, and student needs, as well as the institution’s responsiveness to these changes. “This transition represents the spirit of innovation, collaboration and community that runs through everything we do,” said Leth Polytech Board Chair Michael Marcotte. The institution also published a new video ad on Youtube establishing its identity as a polytechnic.
