Northwestern Polytechnic has launched a Bachelor of Computing Science degree, which NWP says is the first degree of its kind in Alberta. The four-year degree will focus on foundational computing science knowledge as well as soft skills such as problem-solving and goal-oriented collaboration. The program will include work-integrated learning opportunities and opportunities to use the campus’ design and robotics labs. “This historic achievement is just one way we are delivering enhanced local academic offerings to meet student demand and industry needs,” said NWP Provost and VP Academic Dr Vanessa Sheane. “We expect it will attract students from across the region, country and world who will be in high demand amongst employers.” NWP Note: Archived stories may contain dead links or be missing source links.
