Statistics Canada has released data from the Tuition and Living Accommodation Costs Survey, which includes tuition and compulsory fees for undergraduate and graduate degree programs in Canada. The data can be viewed by field of study and student status at the national and provincial/territorial levels. At the undergraduate level, average tuition and compulsory fees in current dollars rose from $8,994 in 2025/2026 to $9,292 in 2026/2027 at the national level for domestic students, representing a 3.3% increase. At the graduate level, average tuition and compulsory fees rose from $8,997 to $9,273, representing a 3.1% increase. International tuition and compulsory fees rose 4% relative to last year at the national level, ranging from +0% (Newfoundland and Labrador) to +8.6% (Saskatchewan).
