Cégep Thetford, Okanagan College, and Vancouver Community College are kicking off new construction projects this summer. Thetford has begun the construction of a $13.7M sports complex, which will house a gym with synthetic turf for football and baseball, a studio for gymnastics and cheerleading, and an exercise gym. Okanagan is preparing for the construction of its $55.8M Centre for Food, Wine, and Tourism, which will include teaching spaces, food labs, and research and development facilities. VCC will kick off construction of its Centre for Clean Energy and Automotive Innovation (CCEAI) next week. The CCEAI will be constructed from mass-timber and concrete and will feature teaching and experiential learning spaces for clean energy students.
