UBC, Peter Wall launch Wall Research Awards and Wall Fellowships

The University of British Columbia and Peter Wall have launched the Wall Research Awards and Wall Fellowships program, thanks to gift of up to $4M annually from the Peter Wall Legacy Fund. The awards and fellowships will be offered to faculty members and students conducting research relating to sustainability, with an initial focus on areas such as urban development, water, energy, transportation infrastructure, environmental protection of oceans and waterfronts, and resource-intensive industry. UBC has also announced that it will create the Wall Collaboration Centre, where those who have received Wall Fellowships or Wall Research Awards can come together to collaborate and exchange ideas.
