The University of Saskatchewan’s Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization (VIDO) has signed an agreement with the European Research Infrastructure on Highly Pathogenic Agents (ERINHA) that will see VIDO act as ERINHA’s North American hub. The partnership will focus on infectious diseases that pose a threat to economies, food security, and human and animal health. As the North American hub for ERINHA, VIDO will contribute integrated vaccine manufacturing capacity, specialized research and expertise, and training and exchange opportunities. “This agreement will help advance the collaborative science needed to better understand and respond to emerging infectious disease threats,” said ERINHA Director General Dr Jonathan Ewbank. “We know that we can count on Canadian partners!”
