Yellowknifer reports that illegitimate AI-generated renderings of the upcoming Inuit Nunangat University are circulating online. Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami confirmed that the images are not based on any official plans made by the organization, and that possible renderings of the institution have not been made available to the media. “It has not been determined what the university will look like,” said ITK Senior Policy Advisor Sarah Newell. The AI-generated images, which were shared across Facebook, included misspellings and incorrect names.
