Red Deer Polytechnic has signed an agreement with the National Circle for Indigenous Agriculture and Food (NCIAF), establishing a long-term partnership focused on supporting Indigenous learners, communities, and leaders. This five-year agreement will include applied research focused on Indigenous food systems, skills development for Indigenous learners, co-marketing and outreach, and initiatives honouring Indigenous knowledge and agricultural traditions. “This Memorandum of Understanding with Red Deer Polytechnic represents far more than a formal agreement—it reflects a shared commitment to respect, partnership, and meaningful action,” explained NCIAF President and CEO Kallie Wood. “Together, we are creating space for community-informed research, culturally relevant education, and stronger connections that elevate Indigenous leadership, innovation, and contribution across agriculture and food.”
