The Government of Alberta is investing $1.2M over three years to fund the new Alberta Centre for Labour Market Research. Operating out of the University of Alberta, this research centre will seek to understand emerging labour market issues, provide impartial guidance to policymakers, and provide job insights and recommendations that will benefit Albertans. The centre will be staffed by researchers from Athabasca University, Mount Royal University, UAlberta, University of Calgary, and the University of Lethbridge. “Thanks to the foresight and generosity of Alberta’s government, the Alberta Centre for Labour Market Research will be able to provide Albertans with high-quality information on key labour trends and issues as they emerge,” said Centre Director Joseph Marchand.
