The Government of Alberta has announced that it is investing $2.5M to help postsecondary institutions address sexual violence on campus. Institutions will use the funds to research, develop, and deliver supports and programming that combat sexual violence. The funds will also be used to develop a survey focused on sexual violence and harassment in AB postsecondary communities. AB Minister of Advanced Education Demetrios Nicolaides has requested that institutions review their sexual violence policies and make any necessary updates by the end of the year.
