ACC announces addition of Pesticide Certification, Drone Flight School programs

Assiniboine Community College’s School of Agriculture and Environment is adding two new agriculture extension programs to its roster. The first program, Pesticide Certification, will prepare students for a certification exam so that they can be licensed to apply pesticide professionally in MB. ACC says it is the only institution in MB offering the course. The second program, Drone Flight School, will provide students with 40 hours of online training and two days of flight school in preparation for their Flight Operations Certificate. “[O]ne of [ACC’s] main goals … is developing focused training opportunities that meet industry needs,” said ACC’s Dean of the School of Agriculture and Environment Tim Hore. “[R]esponsive training for those already working in the industry is critical to staying current with new technologies and agronomy.” Bdnmb Note: Archived stories may contain dead links or be missing source links.
