Algoma, CCNB launch new social work, community service programs

News

Algoma University and Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick have announced new programming options to meet their regions’ needs for skilled workers in social work and community service. AlgomaU has launched a Bachelor of Social Work program at its Brampton campus that will cover topics such as key social justice issues and how to provide integrated, intersectional solutions. CCNB will launch a two-year technical program in social and community service this September at its Campbellton and Dieppe campuses. The program is recognized by the New Brunswick Association of Social Workers, an organization that plans to regulate paraprofessionals in social work in the future; graduates will be eligible to register with NBASW after its regulatory authority is sanctioned.
