Algonquin College’s Pembroke campus has achieved ENERGY STAR® certification from Natural Resources Canada. Algonquin says that it is the first college in Canada to achieve this certification, which acknowledges that the campus’s buildings meet strict energy efficiency standards and perform in the top 25% of similar facilities in Canada. “Through targeted investments, detailed analysis, and ongoing system improvements, our teams have enhanced energy efficiency while creating a more comfortable and sustainable environment for our learners and employees,” explained Algonquin Facilities Management Executive Director Ryan Southwood.
