The British Columbia Institute of Technology has introduced its new People Plan, which outlines how BCIT will support its employees across four pillars: Cultivate Healthy Environments, Grow Our People, Build Communities of Belonging, and Inspire Transformation. The plan outlines how the institution will support physical and psychological wellbeing; recruit, develop, promote, and retain people from diverse backgrounds; strengthen relationships and collaborative communities; and encourage experimentation. There are 12 initiatives across these pillars that are intended to create meaningful, measurable impact. “These pillars demonstrate the care we have for one another, for the students whose success we inspire, and for this community we call our own,” said BCIT VP People, Culture, and Inclusion Chris Hudson.
