Blue Quills prepares for radar search for unmarked burial sites

University nuxełhot’įne thaaɁehots’į nistameyimâkanak Blue Quills will be conducting the first phase of a ground penetrating radar search for unmarked burial sites on school grounds later this month. The first phase will begin with a pipe ceremony. Blue Quills will be making cultural and mental health supports available and hosting healing gatherings for survivors. The search will be led by Dr Kisha Supernant of the University of Alberta and will involve a team of researchers and graduate students. Results are expected in mid-winter.
