Areas of the city of Brandon, including Brandon University, experienced a water outage on Monday that left them unable to operate essential services such as washrooms and food services. BrandonU cancelled classes in response to the outage, and asked employees to work from home if possible. While water service has now returned, the City of Brandon has issued a boil water advisory for areas including BrandonU. Food services are running again with limitations on fountain drinks and coffee, and BrandonU has advised community members to bring their own water to campus.
