BC, Irish institutions connected through new agreements

During British Columbia International Education Week, postsecondary institutions from Ireland and British Columbia struck a series of partnerships to foster the exchange of culture, knowledge, and ideas between Canada and Ireland. Four memorandums of understanding were signed between BC colleges and Irish institutions: Vancouver Community College, Selkirk College, and Douglas College each signed agreements with Atlantic Technological University, while Camosun College signed an agreement with Munster Technological University. Enterprise Ireland – the Irish government’s trade agency – and the Government of British Columbia also signed a broader governmental agreement. “We are keen to continue to build on the existing links between Ireland and Canada, giving all learners a diverse and international experience that sets them up for a bright future,” said Giles O’Neill, Director of Education in Ireland.
